Inside my
HELLO!
I look to tell creation stories, stories that honor the natural cycle of life, the seasons. I create altars and assemblages that lead the viewer into a forgotten world, as if stumbling into a sacred space long ago abandoned and overgrown but still holding power. A space that revives remembrances of deeply buried memories of the mysteries and magic of creation about how the earth came to be and of the spirits that guided its birth.
The materials that I chose have a history: rusted metal, seed pods that have bloomed feed pollinators and are now ready to seed new life; discarded wood sometimes weathered or burned, often removed from homes during renovations; and vines that are favorites components as they lend a feeling of ancientness and decay.
